The 10816 International Standard was developed by the International Organization for Standardization, which explains how to evaluate the health of various types of machines by measuring vibration. This standard is an upgraded version of the famous original ISO 2372 standard. In addition to a more detailed specification of the vibration velocity evaluation criteria, the standard adds new criteria for evaluating the health of equipment using vibration displacement. This is a very practical standard that is widely applicable to a variety of industrial rotating equipment. It has great guiding significance for equipment condition monitoring.

The standard was published internationally in 1996 and in 2001 by the Chinese national standard GB/T6075. Regrettably, the promotion and application since the announcement has not been good. In addition to the lack of publicity and the reasons people are used to the old standards, the lack of convenient means is also an important reason.
