1 Scope This standard specifies the fire extinguisher box product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage.

This standard applies to fire extinguisher box products with metal box materials.

4 Product Classification 4.1 Fire extinguisher box classification 4.1.1 Fire extinguisher boxes can be divided into:

5 Technical requirements 5.1 Materials 5.1.1 Fire extinguisher boxes should be made of metal materials such as steel sheets and aluminum alloys.

5.1.2 Fire extinguisher box doors can be made of metal or non-metal materials. When the door is made of glass, a flat glass with a thickness of not less than 3 mm should be used.

5.2 Dimensions and Limitations The dimensions and limit deviation of the fire extinguisher box shall comply with the requirements of Table 1.

5.3 Appearance quality 5.3.1 Fire extinguisher box body should be upright, there should not be skew, warping and other deformation phenomena.

The surface of the box should be free from irregularities in processing. The verticality tolerance between the faces should not exceed 3mm.

5.3.2 The fire extinguisher box of the land type should be able to stand steadily and there should be no tilt and sway on the level ground.

5.3.3 When the fire extinguisher box door is closed in place, it should be flush with the surrounding frame surface, its flatness tolerance should not exceed 2mm; the gap between the box door and frame should be even and straight, the maximum clearance should not exceed 3mm.

5.3.4 The height of the parts on the front surface of the fire extinguisher box shall not exceed 15mm protruding from the outer surface of the box door; the height of the parts of the rest of the surface protruding from the outer surface of the box shall not exceed 10mm.

The box cover should not protrude more than 30mm on the front side, and should not protrude more than 45mm on the side, but should not be less than 15mm.

5.3.5 The welding or riveting of the fire extinguisher box body shall be firm, and there shall be no defects such as burn-through, welding burr, burrs and rivets; the surface of the stamped part shall not have defects such as wrinkles.

5.3.6 The surfaces of fire extinguisher boxes shall be treated with anti-corrosion treatment. The fire extinguisher boxes painted and treated for corrosion protection shall be smooth, smooth and uniform in color and have no defects such as flow marks, cracks, bubbles, scratches, bumps and peeling.

5.4 Box Door (Box Cover) Performance 5.4.1 Door-opening fire extinguisher boxes shall be provided with door locks or door closing devices.

Fire extinguisher boxes with door locks should be equipped with manual mechanisms for emergency opening of the door.

5.4.2 Fire extinguisher box door (box cover) opening operation should be light and flexible, no jamming phenomenon, opening force should not exceed 50N.

5.4.3 The opening angle of the door of the fire extinguisher box with open door shall not be less than 175°; the opening angle of the lid of the fire extinguisher box with the cover shall not be less than 100°.

5.5 Stiffness The type of fire extinguisher box shall be tested for stiffness according to 6.4. No detachment, unwelding, obvious deformation, and no opening of the door (box cover) shall occur after the test.

6 Test methods 6.1 Dimensions Measurement Using a universal measuring tool for the measurement of the dimensions, the results should meet the requirements of Table 1.

6.2 Visual inspection Visual inspection or general purpose gauges are used for visual quality inspection and measurement. The results should meet the requirements of 5.3.

6.3 Door (box cover) performance test 6.3.1 Door structure inspection Visual inspection or manual inspection of the door structure shall be carried out and the results shall comply with 5.4.1.

6.3.2 Box Door (Box Cover) Opening Force Test In the vertical direction of the box door (box cover), use a dynamometer with an accuracy of not less than three levels to measure the box door (box cover) at the handle or at the middle edge. The opening force along the opening direction should meet the requirements of 5.4.2.

6.3.3 Door (box cover) opening angle test Open the box door (box cover) to the maximum position and measure the angle between the box door (box cover) surface and the box door (box cover) frame by the protractor. The result should meet the requirements of 5.4.3.

6.4 Stiffness test The fire extinguisher box to be tested shall be placed upright on the level ground according to the state of use, and the rigidity test cylinder shall be uniformly placed in the box. The diameter shall be in accordance with the provisions in Table 1, the number of which is equal to the number of portable fire extinguishers to be stored. After being loaded to 1.5 times the load of the fire extinguisher box (when the simplified number of stiffness tests is more than 1, the simplified weight of each stiffness test shall be equalized when loading), after 24 hours of storage, the result shall meet the requirements of 5.5.

7 Inspection Rules 7.1 Inspection is divided into type inspection and factory inspection.

7.2 Type test 7.2.1 When one of the following situations occurs, a type test shall be carried out.

a) When a new product is tested,

b) stop production for one full year to resume production;

c) when the normal production has been completed for three years;

d) When there is a major change in production equipment, process or materials;

e) when the national quality supervision agency proposes a type inspection.

7.2.2 Type inspection The items specified in this standard are all items.

7.2.3 There are two samples for type testing.

7.2.4 Samples shall be randomly sampled according to GB 10111 in 50 inspection batches.

7.2.5 Type inspection items shall be in compliance with the standard and qualified. If there is a test item that is unqualified, it shall be doubled. If there is still any item that fails, it shall be judged as unqualified.

7.3 Factory Inspection 7.3.1 The fire extinguisher box must be inspected by the factory inspection department and must be shipped with the product quality certificate.

7.3.3 The factory inspection is one-by-one inspection.

7.3.4 Factory inspection items must all be qualified and the product is qualified.

c) registered trademark or manufacturer name;

d) production site;

e) Production date or product lot number.

8.1.4 The marking of the packing box shall comply with the provisions of GB191 and GB6388.

8.2 Packaging, Transport and Storage 8.2.1 Fire extinguisher boxes shall be packed at the factory and the packaging materials may be cardboard. When the extinguisher box is packaged, the certificate and instructions should be placed in the box.

8.2.2 Fire extinguisher boxes do not allow heavy pressure and impact during transportation.

8.2.3 Fire extinguisher boxes should be stored vertically in dry, ventilated and non-corrosive media warehouses. Stacking should not be more than three layers when stacked.
