Taiwan Machine Tool Export Analysis
According to customs export statistics, from January to July 2010, the total export value of machine tools in Taiwan reached 1.594 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 56.8%, and the export situation improved significantly. Among them, the cutting machine tool was 1.19 billion US dollars, an increase of 58.6%; the export value of forming machine tools was 356.61 million US dollars, an increase of 51.2%.

For example, according to the growth of cutting machine types, the integrated processing machine increased by 78.2%, the lathe type increased by 22.2%, the grinding machine category increased by 88.3%, and the milling and boring machine increased by 67.0%. In the part of the forming machine, the forging and punching machinery increased by 48.0% compared with the previous year, and other forming machine tools increased by 63.4%.
(2) Country and region of machine tool export
According to the ranking of export countries and regions, from January to July 2010, China and Hong Kong ranked first, with an export value of 770.43 million US dollars, accounting for 48.2% of total exports, an increase of 104%. Among them, the export to the mainland market in July was 134.27 million US dollars, an increase of 225%. The United States ranked second with an amount of US$75.94 million, accounting for 4.9% of exports and a year-on-year decline of 11.5%. India ranked third with an amount of US$63.87 million, accounting for 4.1%, and a year-on-year increase of 112%.
Yu Yixu is Thailand's growth of 65.0%, Brazil's growth of 82.5%, Malaysia's growth of 107%, Turkey's growth of 190%, South Korea's growth of 260%, Indonesia's growth of 116%, Vietnam's growth of 47.8%, Germany's decline of 42.4%, and Netherlands's decline of 9.4%. It fell by 6.4%, Japan by 8.1%, and Australia by 40.4%.
Analysis of machine tool imports in Taiwan
According to customs import statistics, the import value of machine tools in Taiwan from January to July 2010 reached US$ 327.84 million, a year-on-year increase of 77.1%. Among them, the import value of cutting machine tools was 269.63 million US dollars, an increase of 80.5%; the import value of forming machine tools was 58.8 million US dollars, an increase of 62.9%.

From January to July 2010, the main imported machine tools for non-traditional processing machines increased by 150% year-on-year, integrated processing machines increased by 66.3%, lathes increased by 157%, boring and milling machines increased by 65.0%, and grinding machines decreased by 29.1%. The import volume of forming machine tools was 74.4% higher than that of the previous year, while other forming machine tools increased by 8.0%. According to the above import data, the traditional industry's demand for imports in recent years can still maintain moderate growth, such as precision components and metal products processing industries. The emerging high-tech industries such as semiconductor, information, electronics, telecommunications, optoelectronics and other industries have seen a sharp decline in 2008 and 2009, and this year has increased significantly.
(2) Country of machine tool import source
Regarding the main sources of imported machine tools in Taiwan, the first import volume in Japan from January to July 2010 reached US$109.46 million, accounting for 60.5%, an increase of 154% year-on-year. Germany's second import value was 27.18 million US dollars, accounting for 8.3%, down 8.8% year-on-year. Mainland China and Hong Kong ranked third in terms of imports of US$20.49 million, accounting for 6.2%, a year-on-year increase of 53.6%.

In general, the forecast of the world's major machine tool producers rebounded in 2010, including orders from Germany, the United States, and Japan. In the United States from January to July 2010, shipments reached 1.477 billion US dollars, an increase of 58.9%. South Korea's orders from January to April increased by 97.5% year-on-year. Japan's machine tool orders from January to July totaled 525 billion yen, an increase of 187% year-on-year, while Japan's January-July sales increased by 15.5% year-on-year.
