Chinese Academy of Sciences made new progress in the study of the synergistic action mechanism of "B/L acid in dealuminated HY molecular sieves"

According to more recent news, the Dengfeng Research Group of the State Key Laboratory of Spectroscopy and Atomic and Molecular Physics, Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences has made new progress in the study of the synergistic action mechanism of Brönsted acid and Lewis acid on dealuminated HY zeolite molecular sieve solid acid catalysts. His related papers were published in the recent "American Chemical Journal".

Professor Deng Feng and his colleagues Dr. Yang Jun and graduate students used newer 1H two-dimensional double quantum magic angle rotation and other solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experimental techniques, combined with quantum chemical calculations, to reveal Lewis in the dealuminated HY molecular sieve. The specific structure and properties of acid (non-framework aluminum), in-depth elucidation of the Brönsted/Lewis acid synergistic mechanism, these research results lay the foundation for the further study of the mechanism of acid catalyzed by zeolites at the molecular level.
