While the world is focusing on concepts such as 3D, virtual reality, and holographic projection, the designer JONGHA CHOI has come back to thinking about planes, such as this chair... In today's advertising, film and television, and the Internet industry, images are booming areas, and JONGHA CHOI has questioned why, apart from the visual experience, 2D images cannot bring direct physical experience to people. With this kind of thinking, he put our common chair and put it on the wall. This product is called De-dimension. If we look closely at the chair hanging on the wall, we seem to see poor perspective exercises in the art class as a child, and this design is to allow the 2D and 3D form of the chair to transform perfectly. The surface-to-surface contact position can be folded or rotated at a small angle, such as the rectangular shape of the stool surface, which becomes a parallelogram when the 2D plane is hung on the wall. This clever structural design gives both appearances of the De-dimension an upright look. The two-dimensional shape can be decorated and stored, and the three-dimensional shape can be used normally. De-dimension can be understood as "decrease of dimensions," but I think this is also a breakthrough in dimension and a change in the way of thinking. What exactly design can bring us is not only limited to innovative, high-quality products, but also the way we think about life. I think this is the wisdom of design.
