The reporter learned from the Information Center of the Ministry of Land and Resources that the 2012 China Mineral Resources Report, which comprehensively reflects China's annual mineral resources reserves, exploration, development, market and mineral resources management policies, shows that in 2011, the land and resources management department looked for mines. Break through strategic actions as the main line, explore new mechanisms for geological prospecting, strengthen geological surveys and mineral exploration, improve and standardize the mining rights market, and make significant progress in mineral resources exploration and development and management. The "Report" was first published in both Chinese and English and will be released at the China International Mining Conference. According to the "Report", China's mineral exploration investment has maintained growth, and significant progress has been made in the exploration of coal, oil, natural gas, iron, copper, tungsten, molybdenum and gold. In 2011, the investment in exploration was 111.82 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%. Among them, oil and gas exploration investment was 67.47 billion yuan, up 9.4% year-on-year; non-oil and gas exploration investment was 44.35 billion yuan, up 9% year-on-year. The newly added proven geological reserves of petroleum are 1.3 billion tons and the natural gas is 722.5 billion cubic meters. The newly discovered coal reserves are 74.9 billion tons, the gold mine is 718 tons, and the molybdenum mine is 5.8 million tons. As of the end of 2011, the remaining reserves of petroleum technology were 3.24 billion tons, and natural gas was 4.02 trillion cubic meters; the coal resources were found to be 1.38 trillion tons, the iron ore was 74.39 billion tons, the copper mine was 86.12 million tons, and the bauxite was 3.87 billion tons. Gold is 7,419 tons. The output of coal, crude steel, cement and other mineral products ranked first in the world, and the supply capacity of domestic mineral products continued to increase. In 2011, the country's primary energy output was 3.18 billion tons of standard coal, an increase of 7% year-on-year, and the energy self-sufficiency rate was 91.4%. Raw coal output reached 3.52 billion tons, an increase of 8.7%; crude oil 204 million tons, an increase of 0.3%; natural gas 103.06 billion cubic meters, an increase of 8.7%; iron ore 1.33 billion tons, an increase of 27.2%; crude steel 680 million tons, an increase of 7.3% . Mineral products are active in foreign trade, and some bulk minerals are highly dependent on foreign countries. In 2011, the trade volume of mineral products was 957.1 billion US dollars, an increase of 34.3%. The import of large quantities of minerals such as oil, iron and copper continued to grow, and the dependence on foreign countries remained high. Among them, 56.7% of oil, 56.4% of iron ore, 71.4% of copper, 51.5% of potash and 61.5% of aluminum. Strengthen the conservation and comprehensive utilization of mineral resources and develop green mining. The central government has rewarded 704 mining enterprises that have made outstanding achievements in mineral resources conservation and comprehensive utilization; and established 408 demonstration projects in the field of comprehensive utilization of mineral resources. The first batch of 40 comprehensive utilization demonstration bases were deployed. The Ministry of Land and Resources praised 98 outstanding enterprises for mineral resource conservation and comprehensive utilization, and selected and introduced 62 advanced technologies involving oil and gas, coal, metal and non-metal mining and comprehensive utilization. To promote the development of green mining, two batches of 220 units were selected and pilot construction work was initiated. The level of basic geological surveys has been continuously improved, providing quality services for economic and social development. In the key metallogenic belts, major geological problems areas, important economic areas and major engineering construction areas, regional geological surveys have been vigorously carried out. The country has completed a total of 5.65 million square kilometers of regional geological surveys, accounting for 59.0% of the land area. The 1:50,000 regional geological survey was 2.37 million square kilometers, accounting for 24.7% of the land area. For the first time, the National Geological Data Museum released more than 1,600 digital geological maps in the public scale to the public, further strengthening social services. In-depth evaluation of the potential of mineral resources, and further clarify the source of resources. Focus on the prospective survey of mineral deposits in 19 key mineralization areas, including Tianshan-Beishan, Altai, Qilian, Bangong Lake-Nujiang, Daxing'anling, and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Complete the evaluation of resource potential of 13 minerals such as coal, uranium, iron, copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, tungsten, antimony, gold, rare earth, potassium and phosphorus. The copper resource potential evaluation shows that the shallow resource forecast of 500 meters in the country is 192 million tons, the shallow space of 1000 meters is 274 million tons, and the shallow volume of 2000 meters is 306 million tons. The petroleum geological resources in Northeast China are 22.5 billion tons and natural gas is 4.55 trillion cubic meters. China's onshore shale gas geological resources potential and recoverable resource potential are 134 trillion cubic meters and 25 trillion cubic meters, respectively. Constantly standardize the order of mineral exploration and development, and further improve the management level of mineral resources. We will promote key link reforms and institutional innovations, carry out pilot reforms of coal mining rights approval management, and promote pilot reforms of mining land in Guangxi Pingguo Bauxite Mine, Shanxi Pingyi Open-pit Coal Mine, Inner Mongolia Erdos Open-pit Coal Mine and Yunnan Phosphate Open-pit Phosphate Mine. The project “Geological Theoretical Innovation and Prospecting for the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau†won the special award for national scientific and technological progress, with obvious social and economic benefits and increasing scientific and technological support capabilities. The continuous improvement of China's mineral resources management capabilities and the prosperity of the mining industry not only strongly support the stable development of China's economy, but also promote the sustainable development of the global mining industry.
