However, the crisis always coexists with business opportunities. Behind the huge business opportunity of green building, the high technology of products is the killer for paint companies to share this fast “big cake”.

Although through the development of gold for ten years, China's paint industry has achieved rapid development, but overall, the status of China's paint industry is still uneven paint brands, foreign paints as a situation of the boss. At the same time, in some product areas, the technical content of China's coatings lags far behind foreign well-known coatings.

Take exterior paint for architectural coatings to analyze, there is still a certain gap between China's external wall paint and developed countries. According to Yang Yuande, secretary-general of the China Coatings Industry Association, in terms of external walls, there is still a gap between China's architectural energy-saving paints and their insulation or heat insulation reflections. For example, the radius reflectivity standard of domestic energy-saving coatings is 0.8, while the radius reflectivity of Japanese energy-saving coatings can reach more than 0.9, and the temperature difference between thermal insulation reflective paint walls can reach 8°C~12°C.

Therefore, the green building brings not only a huge business opportunity but also a huge crisis. As the green building gradually becomes the master of new construction, the requirements for technical content of architectural coatings will also be higher and higher.
