Classification of sealing strips

Sealing strips can be classified according to the shape of the section, the method of vulcanization, the location and use of the material, and the materials used.

Classified by section shape

It can be divided into solid core products (round, square, flat cross-sectional shape), hollow products and metal rubber composite products. Among them, the metal rubber composite sealing strip accounts for more than 60%. Section design is critical for rubber seals. The first is the shape and size of the sealing lip. The sealing lips on both sides should be in contact with the glass from both sides of the window glass with the same appropriate size and force. The length and thickness of the lip should be appropriate. If the thickness is too thick or too long, the resistance of the glass will be too large. If it is too thin or too short, the glass will not be well guided and sealed, resulting in vibration, noise and leakage. The shape and size of the bottom of the section are designed. There is a convexity on the section of the steel groove of the window. The function is to assemble the guide groove. Therefore, the bottom of the section of the guide groove should be designed with corresponding structure, which is easy to install and can utilize the elasticity of the sealing strip itself. Adhered to the steel guide groove to prevent it from coming out; finally, the shape and size of the outer lap, in order to improve the appearance, the outer surface of the guide groove should be closely attached to the body.

Classified by vulcanization

(1) Non-continuous vulcanization method (after extruding the extruded strip according to a certain length, it is vulcanized in a vulcanization tank, and the extruded semi-finished rubber strip is placed in a mold for vulcanization);

(2) Continuous vulcanization method (microwave continuous vulcanization method, salt bath continuous vulcanization method, hot air continuous vulcanization method, etc.). A. Microwave continuous vulcanization composite sealing strip: Microwave vulcanization technology is a production technology widely applied after the foreign energy crisis in the 1970s. The microwave continuous vulcanization technology can not only produce composite rubber strips made of metal core, solid core rubber and sponge rubber, but also superior to other continuous vulcanization devices in terms of energy saving and work efficiency. This technology is recognized by the world as the best process for producing extruded articles. The characteristic of microwave heating is that heat is directly generated in the object to be heated, instead of being input from the outside as usual, so that not only heat is generated but also distributed uniformly, which is advantageous for improving product quality and greatly shortening the time for heating. B. Salt bath continuous vulcanization sealing strip: salt bath vulcanization adopts nitrite-containing salt bath system, which has a large environmental pollution and has been gradually eliminated. C. Hot air vulcanization sealing strip: hot air vulcanization has been developed to strong wind vulcanization, that is, high temperature, high speed hot air vulcanization (Tmax: 450 ° C and Vmax: 60 m / s) can also achieve the effect of flame pretreatment, and Security has been greatly improved.

Classified by location and use

(1) window glass sealing strip; (2) door sealing strip; (3) decorative strip, molding strip; (4) other sealing strip (luggage compartment lid sealing strip, hood sealing strip, water tank sealing strip, emergency door sealing) Article, etc.).
