The surface is often oxidized with a blue-purple, mottled copper color and the fresh cross section is pale brownish brown. The streaks are light grey black. Semi-metallic sheen. opaque. Fractures are jagged. Hardness 3. The proportion of 4.9 to 5.0. Brittle. Conductive. It is often produced in the enrichment zone of hydrothermal deposits and secondary sulfide deposits.
