8.Maintenance of the CNC system when not in use for a long time
When the CNC machine tool is idle for a long time, the CNC system should be regularly maintained. When the machine is not powered, use the backup battery to power the chip and keep the data unchanged. When the battery on the machine is too low, an alarm will usually be given on the display screen. When not in use for a long time, always check whether there is an alarm prompt and replace the backup battery in time. Frequent energization can prevent long-term use of machine tools such as moisture or electronic boards that are short-circuited or disconnected, and are energized at least twice a week. The specific approach is:
First of all, the CNC system should be energized frequently, and the machine can be run empty while the machine is locked. Secondly, in the rainy season with high air humidity, the CNC system should be energized every day, so that the heat of the electrical components itself can be used to drive away the moisture in the CNC cabinet to ensure the stable and reliable performance of the electrical components. Production practice proves that if the CNC machine tools that have not been used for a long time, after a rainy day, they tend to malfunction when they are turned on.
In addition, for CNC machine tools using DC servo motors, if they are not used for more than half a year, the brushes of the motor should be taken out to avoid corrosion of the commutator surface due to chemical corrosion and to ensure commutation performance.
9. Maintenance of spare printed circuit boards
The spare printed circuit boards that have been purchased should be periodically installed on the CNC unit for a period of time to prevent damage.
10. Processing when the CNC fails
Once the CNC system fails, the operator should take emergency stop measures, stop the system operation, and protect the site. And assist maintenance personnel to prepare for the early stage of maintenance.
