Since the electrolytic cell usually has a groove cover plate, when the electrolytic cell has an effect, the temperature of the groove is too high, which will melt the electrolyte shell, causing the electrolyte aluminum water having a temperature of up to 900 degrees Celsius to overflow the electrolytic cell, and the cathode busbar is washed out, thereby causing Production accidents.
For the safe production of aluminum electrolysis, Qin Hongfei, the maintenance division of the microcomputer section of the plant, used data, drawings, equipment, and even used the trough gauges that were scrapped. After more than a dozen tests, the safety alarm was finally developed. An alarm is responsible for the effect alarm of 52 electrolyzers in a production area. The plant has 8 production areas and 8 alarms have been developed. Each alarm works independently, as long as the cell has an effect, an alarm sounds and the red effect light flashes immediately.
After a month of running tests, the alarm sounds very well. Its successful development has provided a strong guarantee for the safe production of new electrolysis.
