Heliatek, an organic thin-film solar cell (OPV) manufacturer in Germany, uses OPV multi-junction cell technology to create solar energy conversion efficiency of 13.2%. The results achieved this time are further proofed by Heliatek's unique technology method for small molecule vacuum evaporation on plastic films.
Heliatek also pointed out that the results achieved this time will help Heliatek to achieve an internal roadmap that will increase the conversion efficiency of organic solar cells to 15%, which will help the development of new absorbing molecules (wavelengths from 450 nm to 950 nm).
