Magnetic fluid bearings use conductive fluids as smoothing agents and have sliding bearings with external magnetic fields. Magnetic fluid bearings are new types of bearings developed in cooperation with nuclear power equipment in the 1960s. Commonly used conductive fluids are: molten sodium and potassium at high temperatures. And sodium potassium eutectic alloy, in normal temperature environment, mercury.
The magnetic fluid bearing is the same as the liquid smooth sliding bearing; it can be made into hydrodynamic bearing and hydrostatic bearing; it is divided into cylindrical radial bearing, plane thrust bearing, spherical bearing and conical bearing according to the layout type.
