Although the snail is a very cute little bug, it is a pest of farmland. So, how to prevent farm snails?
First, snail agricultural control:
1 manual capture. Before 6 o'clock in the morning, in the evening and in the rainy days, the snails are picked up on the plants; the leaves, weeds, and leaves are piled up into traps at night to lure the snails, collect them during the day, and bring them out of the field to smash or burn. , carry out deep burial treatment.
2 Shallow loose soil or ploughed soil. It can kill larvae and sun-dried eggs, or snails deep into the soil to suffocate and die.
3 clean the countryside. After turning over the soil, thoroughly remove the weeds, sundries and crop residues inside and outside the field, and destroy the snail habitat.
Second, the physical control of snails: lime or grass ash is scattered around the field to prevent snails from entering the field. A limestone band is placed on the dry field stalk, and the snail sticks to the lime and will die due to the loss of water.
Third, snail drug control: temperature is higher than 20 ° C or lower than 13 ° C and dry season, snails will enter the soil for summer or winter dormancy, it is not appropriate to use drugs to control, so you must choose the right time to get good control. It should be used after sunset to the day before dark (not suitable during the day), and it is better to use it in the evening after the rain turns fine. Use 6% tetraacetaldehyde granules (trade name Mida) 350-500 grams per acre or 300-600 grams of 2% drought-dried snail bait, mix 2 kg of moist fine sand, and evenly apply to plant rows (note Do not sprinkle on the plants) or sprinkle a little at 1.5 m apart, and sprinkle a round surface of about 10 cm in diameter to spread the agent evenly. The application should be reversed, and do not step on the field after application.
