Pesticide storage precautions

At present, most pesticides are organic compounds and inorganic compounds, and their physical properties and chemical properties vary from drug to drug. There are special requirements during storage, and should be managed strictly according to the requirements of storage. If the storage conditions are not suitable, the pesticides will deteriorate, the efficacy will be lost, and sometimes a burning explosion will occur, or poisoning incidents of humans and animals will occur. Therefore, all kinds of pesticides must be properly kept in the safekeeping process. In the process of storage, the following points must be noted:
1. Pay attention to the storage location. The houses where pesticides are stored must be kept as far as possible from the granary, feed room and livestock sheds to prevent pollution and mutual influence, and should not be placed together with chemical fertilizers. Because there are many types of fertilizers and pesticides, they are of different nature and will be stored together. A chemical reaction occurs that causes a qualitative change or failure. For example, when the temperature reaches 30 degrees Celsius, the ammonium bicarbonate will decompose and release ammonia gas. The ammonia gas will be synthesized into a strong alkaline ammonium hydroxide under humid conditions, so that the pesticide decomposed by alkali can reduce the efficacy. At the same time, pesticides with different properties (ie, the pesticides are usually alkaline, neutral and acidic) should be stored separately.
2. Pay attention to the storage temperature. The temperature at which pesticides are stored should not be too high or too low. Generally, at temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius, the higher the temperature, the easier the pesticides will melt, decompose, volatilize, and even burn and explode; too low temperatures will have adverse effects on pesticides, such as some Liquid pesticides freeze when they are below 0 degrees Celsius, which reduces the efficacy of pesticides. Therefore, preserving pesticides should prevent high temperatures in summer and low temperatures in winter.
3. Pay attention to the humidity. Some pesticides, such as wettable powders, tend to absorb moisture, become lumps after moisture absorption, and are more troublesome to use when they are used. Secondly, they will deteriorate and the paper-packed pesticides are easily broken after being wet, which is not only difficult to handle, but also polluted. surroundings.
4, pay attention to long-term exposure. Pesticides are exposed to air and sunlight for a long time, and are prone to volatilization and oxidation, causing qualitative changes. For example, phoxim is easy to decompose and deteriorate. Generally, solid pesticides should be packed tightly, and liquid pesticides should be packed in colored bottles or jars. In short, whether it is a solid or liquid pesticide, it can not be directly exposed to the sun. Keep the pesticide in a cool, dry place.
5, pay attention to stay away from fire. Keep the medicine storehouse or medicine box away from fire sources, especially the bottled pesticides should be tightly sealed to prevent the poisonous gas from volatilizing and burning, so as to avoid poisoning of humans and animals.
